Governance Framework
To maintain and operate Akros Indices at the highest standards, Akros Index Engineering has established a robust governance framework. This framework is used to approve new indices and any changes to the methodologies of existing indices. It includes specialized decision-making bodies consisting of members from first line executive management, an oversight committee comprising members from second line (risk and compliance) and third line (audit) management. Additionally, it is supported by independent external advisory committees made up of market practitioners who bring specialized expertise in benchmark methodologies, input data, and the underlying market.
Regulation
Akros Index Engineering has published a Statement of Adherence regarding the recommendations put forth by the International Organization of Securities Commisions (IOSCO) in the Principles for Financial Benchmarks Final Report (the IOSCO Principles). This compliance has been independently verified by KPMG. Akros Index Engineering fully commits to the IOSCO Principles and supports IOSCO’s goals of managing conflicts of interest in the benchmark-setting process, improving the reliability of benchmark determinations, and advancing transparency and openness.
